it couldve hurt the industry because even though they dont get the proceeds like they do when people buy the film it still helps the ratings and keeps the film in demand so that the amount of supply and demand stay the same because if those change in either direction things could get very bad for the film industry.

i think those people were out of their minds agreeing to give 38studios $7 million of taxpayer money that given that we are in a recession and the nation is in debt is completely ridiculous. that money could help the state fix any problems its having plus could help to create more jobs. it links to blog 6 because those people who lost their jobs are in the same position of the people who were fired because those games didnt take off like the company wanted them too

in my opinion they should keep the creators of those games whether they get popular or not. its not their fault the game didnt take off its all up to the players. if the players dont like it then its not gonna take off but those people could still do some amazing things.

the connections between hollywood and the military is a bit screwed up in my opinion. though respectfully hollywood is required to as the militarys' permission before filming movies or music videos in or around military bases and around their personnel. several famous people have done just that and filmed some amazing things involving the military.

video game industry

I don't believe they should just cut them loose because an idea isn't popular among gamers. After all it's not their fault the general public doesn't like it. It just another chance to try and find something new for us and if it becomes poplar then it does if not then it's just a back to the drawing board situation. Companies won't make a lot of money like they'd like too if they keep doing that eventually ending up with no creators and no profits.

            I think the connection between Hollywood and the military is good in some cases but in others is just a bit odd. The good cases would be where the people portraying military personnel actually have prior experience with it and know how to do it accurately where as the odd situations are where they clearly have never played a military role before and act more like civilians. The movies like Act Of Valor are better when ran by military personnel and portrayed by them as well so that they are more accurate. Movies and Television shows like Forest Gump and Saving Private Ryan along with JAG and Mash portray only one side of the situation and not both which is what Act Of Valor did. Depending on what side of the situation being portrayed is meant to be seen it can go either way with the military being in charge or the film crew and director being in charge. One movie where the military being in charge would've been a bad thing is definitely The A-Team because the military would've never allowed them to do everything they did.

In my opinion Wikileaks isn't really a good thing but it isn't really a bad thing either. It's not good because the public needs a little ease into the news of the government. We cannot just drop stuff on them it has to be simply and easily given to the public. He did not have the right to just throw everything at the general public. If the government were to make some of these available to the public one or two at a time then I think however the government chose to release them would be best because our government keeps secrets from the people to protect us and keeps us from knowing what they do everyday to keep us safe.

There has been this on going fight about whether or not violent video games make children more violent though i think that if a kid is going to be violent they'll do it with or without playing the video games. Sometimes though video games can be used to reduce stress and help people relax more than if they tried doing something else to relax. I know from experience that it is a very good stress reliever because it takes your mind off whatever it was that was upsetting you. I think there is no way to link for absolute certainty that video games make children more violent besides video games have ratings on them for a reason. They are specifically rate so that small children cannot play certain ones and only others. The people selling the games are required to look at the rating and make sure small children cannot purchase games with a higher rating.

So, now the government is trying to control everything we do on the internet. I don't understand why they think it's within their right to trample all over ours by trying to control the world as we know it! I understand that there are copyright laws for a reason but it doesn't have to be a battle for power over the masses. I think they should just stop trying to control everything then maybe more people would care about what was happening in the way of political power today. I know that not many young people care because they don't mention issues we care about only focusing on the ones adults mostly care about.
